• Rila Monastery – the biggest monastery in Bulgaria, one of the most remarkable monuments on the Balkan Peninsula. • Rupite – The place of Rupite is situated in southwestern Bulgaria, near the Struma River. • Archaeological museum in Sandanski is situated on the main street. It is located over the foundations of the basilica of the bishop John, which was found later. The museum was opened in 1936. It has a unique collection of Roman funeral plastic arts made of marble, which dates back from ?-??? century. This collection is the biggest in Bulgaria, rarely seen in Europe and typical only for this region. It has been collected for 80 years from the all towns and villages in the municipality.

• Town Park “Sveti Vrach” – The territory of the park includes more than 100 tree species and more than 150 floral species. One can see old hollow plane-trees, slender cedars and sequoias, evergreen tui, branchy willows, pomegranates, fig trees, wild geranium, garden geranium, all sorts of roses, etc. The verdure of the park shelters the town stadium, the open theatre hall, the open swimming pool, an artificial lake with a bar, a lot of boats and water wheels, an original restaurant with separate niches in the shape of casks, etc.
